Got them!

Well I got tickets - ended up havign to get 17 as a group for a number of people - saved us $10 an adult! All the Friday tickets were gone by time they got to me on the phone 9.20am (on the line since 9am) but they realeased a new show at 11am on the sat 13th Jan so we got into that one - hope they are good seats. Scully saw the ad I had cut out of the paper and was really excited last night even though he knew it wasn't till after christmas - told him to wait till I got the tickets so he will be even more excited this arvo when he hears!
Now just trying to decide if I will try and get U2 tickets for Ross when they release the new show on Fri!!! It will have to be a monday night Monday so will have to make an executive decision - thought they would make a good birthday present!! Don't think he reads this blog - or do you Ross!!!!

Finn's Party Days!

Am in recovery from Finn's birthday so will give you all a quick run through.
Finn had a great birthday on Friday and after the obligatory pancake breakfast playgroup joined us at an indoor playcentre for lots of fun and was great as was a rainy day. He loved all his presents especially the spiderman umbrella from a playgroup friend as he got to use it straight away!!!
The rain was making me uneasy as we were planing an outdoors activity party for sat morning - similar to the other boys 3rd parties but with a bob the builder theme (photos will be sent one day Kate). The preceeding weekend had been beautiful weather which was great as we got the yard ready etc and I could paint all the large bob cutouts etc but the rain leading up to sat was scary. I did not think we could cope with 20 kids in our house!! but prayer works and no rain on day and slight wind helped dry things out.
Finn had a good time but became a little overwhelmed as more and more people arrived. He coped well and just did his own thing most of the time. Had just party food and a bob cake so was easy food wise and the activites went well. I had made cork tiles for the kids to hammer predrilled wood bits onto and that worked well. Mainly lots of painting, playgough, bubbles balls etc. After everyone left he opened all his pressies and spent the afternoon playing while we tidyied up - a lot of time with Scully and a dinosaur playdoh thing. So now only Scully's to go which will be easier as is a YMCA party again.
Am now waiting for tommorrow to ring and get tickets to the Walking with Dinosaur live experience which has 3 shows (at the moment ) in Jan!! It only has one matinee so limits when we can go but will be on the phone at 9am tomorrow!! The prerelease tickets for the price we want at that show are already down to single seats so is going to be the most popular - think they will do more shows but can't risk it! Wish me luck.
