Holidays nearly over

As you can tell by my slackness in posting it's been the holidays and we've been busy

In the second week we saw the Gondwana performance with a visit to the museum, caught up with some friends and went to the IMAX at darling harbour to see a Dinosaurs in 3d movie. The 3d was great but a bit scary for Finn!

The third week we went walking and visited my Dad and yesterday was Callum's birthday. 10yrs old! Can you believe it. Since the last HP was released today (the day after his bday) he had a HP figure on his cake. It wasnt a party year but he enjoyed going to Panarottis and to adventure golf witha couple of friends - Ross had fun too!

The main reason that made me post today was that we got some new photos so thought I'd put them up.
ARGH (The boys are making noise with Callums car racing track he got for his bday! )

The one with Finn is of the last of the old laundry - alfresco washing! and the new laundry in the extension.
The other photos are of the bricks and then the new roof - both of which are finished now and the floor is laid out airing for this week before being laid down next week.

Know that most of you who read this will be deep in the last HP book so look foward to hearing your impressions when you resurface.Don't worry about giving away secrets I'm sure Callum's school friends will spoil most of the big ones, I wont go looking them out but since it will be a few years till we read the last one - even at an increased pace of reading them, I'm sure we will have heard most of the big surprises by them.

Was great to get J & J 's wedding invite yesterday - look forward to seeing a lot of you then!
Forgot to say that I am dealing with my wisdom tooth getting infected!! Hopefully better soon.

Last wisdom tooth gone!

Just had my last wisdom tooth pulled!
Still numb and feel like my tongue is about 4times too big but went ok.
Had a curl on the en of it's root so took some pulling but at least it's gone now.
Was suppose to go 30th july but they had a cancellation and I wanted it out as it was beginning to push my other teeth.
Waiting to have my lamb roast dinner and a couple of glasses of 'medicinal' red wine!
Bricks finished today and roof survived the wind.
Almost looks like a house!

Holidays week1

Yes it's holidays.
On the house front - the tiles are on the roof - just need the ridge cap cemented down. Yay for a few days without rain. The bricks are about 60cm from the top on one wall and all the rest are done! The plumber is done and things are moving along.
The boys are having a good holiday with lots of bike riding and a visit to my dad's already. Ross had today off and we did the river walk and had coffee etc out then I did a run to the shops since it's the time of the toy sales - birthday's are already sorted so I'm looking ahead to christmas!
The weather has turned windy but hopefully the tiles will stay put!
This first week has just flown - hopefully next week will go a bit slower.
