Just a couple of photos

Here are a couple of photos which seem really out of date now because so much more has happened but at least it gives you an idea. Deck now has roof, rail and steps. Inside now has achitrave, doors etc ready for painting. Tiles look good and washing machine back in action.

Things still progressing and am worried Ross will have worked out what I am giving him before his birthday - him being home, sick, and having access to the computer etc without me first removing emails etc was most worrying!

Just have to wait and see I guess.

Can't believe how time is flying. Hope it slows down a bit soon. Half way through HP7 and would sit and read in one sitting if could.

Looking forward to seeing you (or most of you) at J & J's wedding and at Ross' party!

Finished Book 6!

Have just finished book 6. Not posting much as am reading!! Like them again now over that patch between book 4 and 5.
Some points to fill you in on where we are up too
Tilers doing their work now, painters next week. Laserlight on deck and steps and rails on.
Callum at Nasa today (like the zone carnival for aglican schools) and I'm not going - big mothers guilt thing as is first time I haven't gone to something (for at least a bit!)
Scully had a good birthday on Sat. Callums final rained out so whole day of birthday stuff. went bowling as a family (finn came 2nd!!).
I'm finally getting better but Ross coming down with it - off work yesterday and today which is hampering the birthday present buying!!!
Boys had yesterday off so feeling like havent had my normal time out but will get there.
Almost at the point of list making because there is so much happening in brain with school stuff, preschool, ross' birthday surprises, party stuff, going to his parents etc etc ARghhh.
Think I will just go and map things out a bit

Thanks for the offer of a second HP book Sue so Callum and I can both read at the same time but thankfully
1) I finished GoF so we are now of diff books
2) He is back at school after being sick so not reading as much so I should finish next book before he starts etc
Just as an aside am in some ways regretting letting him read through as I think it gets more serious/intense/dark etc in GoF but am hoping wont get to him. I'm still interested in the story etc but enjoyed it more when it was more light weight - will see how I go once get more into OoP.
Sorry was in such a rush this morning Sue - would have had a chat but was literaly walking out the door to take kids to school and answered the phone. Hope will get a chance to catch up in person soon!
Can't wait till you have a house too Kate as I'm sure it will be beautiful and will probably want to steal lots of your ideas!
Finn has an ear infection at moment but at least can do something about it rather than just riding out the flu etc. Looking forward to the end of it!

A Purple Laundry Floor

This post is mostly for Kate - because she will appreciate it!
I am so excited about the tiles for my laundry floor - they are purple!! My fav colour (and Kates).
We finaly decided on tiles on Sat - even though I still have the flu!
Think we've got a vanity sorted.
The paint we've already decided on and I'm not going to tell you that.
The ensuite is white and brown and a natural stone looking tile - you'll have to wait for the photos I guess. It will have purple in there too but Ross didn't like the purple tile that much to have it in there as well. There is more purple in our room too but you'll have to wait and see.
Yes I still have the flu, yes I've been to the doctor and it's just the flu.
Finn at preschool today - yay!
Am about a third of the way through GoF and Callum and I are stealing the book from each other so that we can keep reading. Do have a bit more energy as am trying to sort out the invite to Ross party - one weekend job that we didnt get too.
Well I'm off to do some more reading - trying to have them all read before the Finn's get back for there next visit!

Busy and Sick

Yes I've finally posted.
First I was busy and then for the last week I've had the flu and various children home sick with it as well.
Can't remember when I last posted - the house is now up to having the plaster done. Builder bringing internal doors etc tomorrow. Then we have to pick tiles arghhh. The closer it get's to painting the more appealing getting someone in to do it is.
Finn had his birthday and we were in Canberra. Nice weekend but we came home with coughs and flu etc -( that's where we were heading back from when we saw you on the road Sue) don't think it would have mattered where we were just happened to be there.
Finn had a great day lots of presents and going to Questacon etc etc. A spiderman on his bday cake.
We went to our friends 40th that night and had fun catching up with everyone. Esp interesting seeing people who we hadn't seen for about 15yrs!
Just survivng at moment with flu. First day today havent wanted to go back to bed straight away - but might lie down after this.
Scully had 3days off and Callum 1. Finn didnt go to preschool this week so am pulling my hair out!
Anyway felt slack not posting earlier - esp as am loving looking at Kate's daily photos - you even make laundry look good! Just finished PoA and as Callum said he wants to read GoF straight away - think we'll just power on through them now - Cal just got given the last one from a friend so we have them all now.
Also just finished Eldest (book after Eragon) it's amazing what a couple of days lying around reading can achieve! Am glad that we dont have to wait to read next harry potters etc because it is frustrating waiting to get next installment - though I have to say I do find the Eragon 'surprises' a bit dissappointing because I picked them all in book 1 and also am sure I know who the 3rd egg will hatch for! Still a good read.
